GRANJA LEVEDAD | VALLE DE BRAVO, MÉXICO
2020 - 700 M²
An organic project conceived from the understanding of the need to be linked in a sustainable way to the territory we occupy; planting, cultivation, farm animals, flowers, water collection, define the intentions of the owners, and only from that, we generate a family meeting place, with very definite intentions of social exchange.
The proposal is developed on two pieces that aim to establish a new order in the place where we are located. As a fundamental premise, we decided to break through a natural slope located in the center of the land of flat topographic conditions, over an area of 10,000m2; this decision allowed us to section the spaces looking to resize one of its sides, obtaining a smaller scale place that would accommodate in a closer way to the required program of areas, generating a more friendly and intimate character.
The horizontal piece of the free plan contains the social and common areas, which interact in all its horizontal extension with the landscape that contains it, in its upper floor are developed the private rooms of the family, where its distribution is arranged from courtyards and vertical circulation elements.
The vertical piece of black concrete is connected throughout its transverse axis with the rest of the house visually and functionally tying both ends, resolves the kitchen areas in its lower level which extends to the outside complementing the recreational requirements for diners. The upper floor functions as a guest room independent from the rest of the house, achieving exclusivity and privacy over the rest of the development.
