PASEO LOS SAMANES | CARACAS, VENEZUELA
2015/16 - 330,000 M²
The project is located in the city of San Diego, 80 km from Caracas, 30 km from the City of Valencia, in Venezuela.
The intention of the promoter was to generate a mixed diversified complex of shops, recreation, and hotel, since the area had the required demand and there was no space that offered an exchange of leisure to the large-scale community.
We proposed to the client to make a new valuation on the preliminary idea of making a mall under the mall stereotype. We reframed the basic fundamentals and proposed that the commercial would be revalued from properly channeling the needs of the community, generating recreational, contemplative, entertainment places where people would not go to the mall to meet their leisure needs, but rather go to system of plazas with diverse roofs, which would generate new climatic, cultural, strategic conditions, full of green spaces that interact with the shops, turning them into meeting places, that would motivate people to a greater permanence, and thus that situation would represent an economic benefit of another kind, where the purchase and sale would become a consequence and not the cause of the place.
