Austral Tower is located on site of 15m by 40m in the commercial and office district of Bella Vista in Panama City.
The forced necessity of only being able to develop the parking lots in the five superficial upper floors on a 600m2 floor (12 parking spaces per floor) was the design premise that defined the project. We had a resultant morphology, where in the body of the building of 22 floors the parking lots occupied 7 floors, the ground floor for a store and the rest for offices.
We worked on the idea of unifying in a single visual piece the volume of the whole building as a response to the condition of having a parking low body of thirty meters high, in direct relation with the street and people, and diminish the impact that this situation generated.
